A project that encouraged participants to re-interpret Saltmarket (an area in Glasgow city centre under re-development at the time) through the viewing lens of one shop space. Shop 111 existed as a series of conversations, investigations and propositions, edited and presented within a multifunctional social space. The project played with ideas and theories about the inhabitation of space in an attempt to demystify the processes of redevelopment and urban regeneration. Individuals and the local community were incited to discuss, fantasise and realise their own environments.
Shop 111 was presented by SEAM and supported by Glasgow International and Scottish Arts Council.
